Eugene, OR – April 10, 2025 – The heart of Eugene’s creative spirit is back for another season! As spring awakens the Willamette Valley, the Eugene Saturday Market has returned, bringing with it vibrant colors, eclectic art, live music, and a celebration of all things local.

Since opening its 2025 season on Saturday, April 5, the market has once again transformed downtown Eugene into a bustling community festival every weekend—making it one of the city’s most treasured and long-standing traditions.

🎨 What Is the Eugene Saturday Market?

Founded in 1970, the Eugene Saturday Market is the oldest weekly open-air crafts market in the United States. Every Saturday from April through mid-November, artisans, performers, chefs, and small businesses gather at 8th Avenue and Oak Street to share their passions with the community.

Unlike conventional farmers markets or retail pop-ups, the Saturday Market is exclusively for handcrafted, locally made goods—you won’t find imports or mass-produced products here. Every vendor is a creator, and every product tells a story.

Enjoy performances while you eat, shop, or simply lounge on the grass near the Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza. It’s a space where community, creativity, and connection come together.

🌿 More Than a Market

Beyond the booths, the Saturday Market fosters a strong local economy, encourages sustainable shopping, and provides artists with a launchpad to grow their businesses. Many successful brands in Oregon began here—with a folding table, a handmade sign, and a lot of heart.

You’ll also often find nonprofit organizations tabling at the market, offering info on everything from community gardens to environmental advocacy, voter registration, and local events.
